Zenvo working on a V10-powered “junior hypercar”

In 2023, Zenvo revealed its brand-new V12 hypercar, the Aurora. Now, the company is working on what it calls a “junior hypercar”.

The quad-turbo V12-powered Zenvo Aurora made its dynamic debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. While speaking with the media during the event, Chairman Jens Sverdrup revealed that the company was developing a naturally aspirated V10 engine for its junior hypercar.

The 6.6-liter quad-turbo V12 developed in collaboration with Mahle Powertrain is said to produce 1250 hp. Couple that with a hybrid system, and the combined output reaches 1850 hp.

Sverdrup said that the V12 was designed to be future-proof from day one. It can be naturally aspirated or non-hybrid if required. Its modular design will allow for future versions, including a V8.

“There will probably also be V8 versions, but that would be as low as we go in terms of cylinder count,” Sverdrup said. “Because it’s still a very extreme engine and very expensive obviously, so it is very much made for the hypercar world.”
