Toyota GR GT & Lexus LFR might break cover on October 13

Toyota has a big event scheduled for October 13. The teaser suggests that we might witness the unveiling of multiple models, including the highly anticipated Lexus LFR and Toyota GR GT

The event will be held at the Fuji Speedway, where preparations are almost complete. Signs put up around the track confirm that the GR GT will most likely be part of the event, which will be streamed live on Toyota’s YouTube channel.

Another sign hints at the Lexus LFA successor. It says, “The sign at Fuji Speedway has changed. On the left is the 2000GT. Next to it is the LFA. And next to that…?”

The Lexus LFR was showcased in concept form at Pebble Beach in August this year. Touted as the LFA successor, the new front-engined sports car is expected to be powered by a brand-new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 paired with a hybrid system. The internal combustion engine is said to produce around 720 hp, while the hybrid will provide another 180 hp.
