Mercedes-AMG teases Concept AMG GT Track Sport with a V8 engine
Mercedes-Benz’s performance division, AMG, has released the first set of teaser images of its new Concept AMG GT Track Sport supercar.
The AMG GT Track Sport is currently under development. Although covered in camouflage, the teaser images do showcase a few details, including the massive swan-neck rear wing and a prominent front splitter.
Based on the second-generation Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe, the track-focused concept will aim to offer peak performance while setting new record times out on the racetrack. While details are limited, Mercedes-AMG has confirmed that the model will be powered by the same V8 engine which also powers the brand’s GT Series racecars.
The new Concept AMG GT Track Sports, once unveiled, will be offered as the range-topping iteration of the brand’s second-generation Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe model lineup.
