McLaren SLR Roadster HDK “Benzona” is almost ready for delivery
The world’s first McLaren SLR Roadster HDK has been in the works for some time. We shared images of the car as it was being assembled at McLaren Special Operations (MSO) in London in March. Now, for the first time, we have images of the completed car, as it awaits delivery.
These images, which come courtesy of the owner (@muybenno), reveal the brand-new SLR Roadster HDK “Benzona” in all its glory. But, before the car is handed over, there’s apparently a “top secret special part” that is yet to be installed.

The spec on this SLR Roadster HDK was designed by @marcovanoverbeeke. It features a metallic light green exterior with a white stripe running along the centre. There are carbon fibre vents on the bonnet, a carbon splitter and mirrors. The iconic side gills are also made from carbon fibre.
The “McLaren Special Operations” script can be seen on the front fenders, while “SLR HDK” is mentioned on the rocker panels. Other details include gloss black wheels and white brake calipers.
