Manthey Porsche 911 GT3 RS beats a 1000 hp Ferrari around a track

If you’re buying the most track-focused 911, you might as well opt for the Manthey upgrade. It’s an expensive option, but it will earn you the bragging rights over a 1000 hp Ferrari SF90 Assetto Fiorano at a racetrack.

Evo Magazine recently tested the Porsche 911 GT3 RS equipped with the Manthey Racing kit at the Angelesey circuit. They drove both the standard GT3 RS and the Manthey version back to back. You may not feel the difference while driving, but the lap times tell a completely different story.

The Manthey Porsche 911 GT3 RS registered a lap time of 1 min 09.9 seconds. While it’s significantly quicker than the standard version, it also beat the time set by the Ferrari SF90.

The Manthey kit includes a revised rear wing, redesigned wheel arch Gurney flaps, two dive places on either side of the front bumper and a splitter. There’s a wider rear diffuser, carbon aerodisc wheel covers and a DRS wing element as well.

The engine is the stock 4.0-liter flat-six engine that develops 518 hp and 343 lb-ft of torque. It is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, which sends power to the rear wheels.
