Leaked! This could be the sporty Toyota GRMN Corolla
We know that Toyota has been working on a sporty version of the Corolla. We got our first glimpse of the GRMN Corolla when it was teased in March this year.
New images, believed to be of the GRMN Corolla, have now leaked online after the car was showcased at a dealer event.
If these images are indeed real, then the GRMN Corolla could feature lightweight carbon fibre parts, including a vented hood and a roof spoiler. The car also sports an aggressive body kit with flared wheel arches, louvres on the front fenders and a rear diffuser with triple exhausts.
You know that Toyota is serious about weight reduction when you realise that the GRMN Corolla has no rear seats. It has lightweight bucket seats in the front wrapped in Alcantara and a 3-spoke steering wheel. There’s also a special plaque, indicating that the GRMN Corolla will be limited to just 500 units.
The GRMN Corolla is expected to be powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter, 3-cylinder engine, with an estimated peak output of 300 hp.
