Ferrari benchmarking its first-ever electric supercar against the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra
Ferrari is set to launch its first-ever fully electric car next year, having been spotted testing on multiple occasions. Ahead of its arrival, the Italian supercar manufacturer is reported to have acquired a Xiaomi SU7 Ultra electric sedan for internal testing.
As seen in the images, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra can be seen leaving the Ferrari factory in Maranello, Italy. With Ferrari currently developing its electric supercar, the Xiaomi SU7 is reportedly being used by the brand for research and understanding various aspects, including its EV powertrain and platform.
The Xiaomi SU7 is currently the world’s fastest electric production car. It comes powered by three electric motors producing 1,526 BHP, allowing it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 1.98 seconds and reach a top speed of 359 km/h. The SU7 Ultra even lapped the Nurburgring with an impressive time of 7:04:957, almost three seconds faster than the Porsche Taycan.
Ferrari has confirmed that its first-ever electric car will arrive in mid-2026 in the form of a supercar. Following this, its second EV will be a crossover and is expected to arrive towards the end of the decade.
