Aston Martin DB12 S to be unveiled on October 8; Teased!
Aston Martin is all set to reveal a spicier version of the DB12. The new model is likely to be called the DB12 S. It is expected to get incremental performance upgrades over the standard car.
We’ve been told that the new Aston Martin DB12 S will be lighter and more powerful. Rumours suggest that it might shave around 50 kg off its kerb weight thanks to the use of lightweight materials.
The 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine will be paired with a new exhaust system, featuring vertically stacked quad exhaust tips. Sources tell us that the engine has been tuned to produce around 20 hp more. Currently, the standard DB12 has 671 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. So, we can expect the DB12 S to have just under 700 hp.
Just like the Vantage S, the DB12 S might also feature a revised suspension setup for sharper and precise handling.
