2026 Porsche 911 GT3 RS facelift spied; To get a turbocharged 3.6L engine?
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is set to get a major update soon. Prototypes of the track-focused 911 have been testing for a while now, and there are rumours that it might switch to a turbocharged engine.
The latest spy images come courtesy of @joelre98. The new 911 GT3 RS doesn’t look much different compared to the outgoing version. However, one of the biggest changes is the rear diffuser. It looks wider and has four vertical elements instead of three. The exhaust setup also appears to be new with dual central exhausts and additional pipes on either end of the diffuser.
The upcoming Porsche 911 GT3 RS is likely to receive a slight nip and tuck on the outside. It has louvres at the front and guiding surfaces around the fender. Porsche has made a few changes around the rear bumper, while the top-mounted rear wing is larger than the one on the GT3.
Rumours suggest that the new 911 GT3 RS will be powered by a 3.6-liter flat-6 engine paired with a single turbocharger.
Meanwhile, the Porsche 911 Turbo S 992.2 is also due for launch soon. It is likely to debut on September 7.
